A pair of freshmen, women’s soccer standout Jackie Marin and men’s swimming All-American Alexander Dimitriadis, have been named the 2021-22 Rio Hondo College Student-Athletes of the Year for their impressive accomplishments for the Roadrunners this past season.

A day after earning a second-place finish in the 3-meter dive event, Rio Hondo College freshman Aaron Augustine put together an even greater performance, totaling 287.50 points to win the 1-meter dive at the 2019 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Swimming & Diving State Championships at DeAnza College in Cupertino on Friday.

Rio Hondo College freshman Aaron Augustine earned a score of 259.95 points in the 3-meter dive event to finish in second place on Thursday at the 2019 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Swimming & Diving State Championships at DeAnza College in Cupertino.

Rio Hondo College freshman Aaron Augustine dominated the field at the South Coast Conference Diving Championships at El Camino College, taking first place in the both the 1-meter and 3-meter events on his way to being named the SCC Diver of the Year.

Both the Rio Hondo College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams got the 2019 dual meet season going with a great start, as the men defeated Los Angeles Trade-Tech College by a final score of 173-52 while the women handled East Los Angeles College 123-81 on Friday at LA Trade-Tech.

The Rio Hondo College men's and women's swimming & diving teams finished in seventh and eighth place respectively at the 2016 South Coast Conference Championships at Cerritos College this past weekend.

Jeremy Foster totaled four top-10 finishes to lead the Rio Hondo College Men's Swimming & Diving team to a ninth-place finish at the Chaffey College Invitational. With just seven individuals at the meet, the Roadrunners scored 159 points to finish just five points back of Southwestern College in eighth.
