Rio Hondo College's 12th consecutive postseason appearance came to an end after No. 3-seeded Golden West College swept the No. 14-seeded Roadrunners in a best-of-three Southern California Regional playoff series.

Rio Hondo College won its fourth straight game after an eight-run, second-inning lifted the Roadrunners to a 16-5 Foothill Conference win at Barstow College on Thursday. The victory improved Rio Hondo to 15-11 overall and 10-4 in conference play.
