Joseph Fuentes’ goal in the 78th minute broke a 2-2 tie and proved to be the game-winner for Rio Hondo College as the Roadrunners defeated Pasadena City College 3-2 at PCC on Tuesday in a South Coast Conference North Division game.

After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, Rio Hondo College exploded to score four second-half goals to earn a 4-0 non-conference victory over visiting Moorpark College in Whittier on Tuesday. The win extended Rio Hondo's unbeaten streak to six games (4 wins, 2 ties) and improved the Roadrunners' record to 5-1-2 overall.

For the first 74 minutes of the contest, things were looking good for the Rio Hondo College men's soccer team in their home opener on Tuesday against San Bernardino Valley College. But the Wolverines rallied for three goals over the final 15 minutes to shock the Roadrunners and hand them a defeat by a final score of 3-2.

The Rio Hondo College men's soccer team returned to the same field where its playoff run came to an end last season, but on Friday it was the Roadrunners that picked up a narrow 1-0 victory over the Irvine Valley College Lasers in both teams' 2017 season opener.
