Women's Water Polo: Reynoso, Quinn lead Rio Hondo to win over PCC

Freshman Quinn Reynoso poured in four goals while sophomore Emily Mena scored three times to provide all the offense for the Rio Hondo College Roadrunners in a 7-5 win over visiting Pasadena City College on Wednesday.

Rio Hondo wrapped up its regular-season South Coast Conference schedule with a 4-4 record and is 10-13 overall heading into Friday's (Oct. 28) RHC Mini Tournament in Whittier.

The Roadrunners trailed early, down 3-1 to the Lancers midway through the first quarter. But goals by Reynoso with 1:57 to play in the first and Mena at the 13 second mark, evened up the score at 3-3 heading into the second. Rio Hondo would score six unanswered goals to take a commanding 7-3 lead in the fourth.

Zuri Pulido scored two goals late for Pasadena (7-17, 3-5 SCC) to close out the contest. She had four of PCC's five goals.

On Friday, Rio Hondo will host  Santa Ana College in a 10:30 a.m. game followed by a 1:30 p.m. contest vs. Los Angeles Valley College. The mini tourney will wrap up the regular season for the Roadrunners before they compete at the South Coast Conference Championship tournament in Pasadena next week.
