Bio

Jackson Wong brings over 13 years of coaching experience, having coached youth teams in ages 12u-18u for boys and girls, and athletes at the collegiate level.

This will be his fifth season with the Rio Hondo College women’s volleyball program and first as head coach of the indoor and beach volleyball teams in 2024-25.

Jackson began coaching club volleyball at Forza 1 West (Pasadena, CA) in the 2018, and has been the Boys Club Director from 2019. Over the years, he has coached the boys 16’s, 17’s, and 18’s. For junior girls, he’s been the 12-1’s head coach for the past 4 seasons and has coached and assisted the 14-17’s teams. The upcoming 2024-25 season will be his second year with Crown City Sports Academy (Pasadena, CA).

Since 2013, Jackson has been a part of the volleyball program at Huntington Middle School (San Marino, CA). Under his tenure, he led the Foxes to multiple 210 League Championships and tournament titles, most recently the undefeated 2023 boys team.

He began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant for Mark Keppel High School, having played for the Aztecs during high school.

Jackson is an avid volleyball player with nearly 20 years of experience playing various formats of volleyball. He trains to compete annually with his semi-professional 9-Man Volleyball team, LA Fresh (est. 2013).

He earned his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego.
