The Rio Hondo College women's tennis team, under the direction of head coach Karen Unger, closed out the 2015 season with a 7-10 overall record. The Roadrunners finished up in fifth place in the final South Coast Conference standings with a 4-8 record.
In non-conference matches, Rio Hondo went 3-2 by picking up wins over Antelope Valley, Mt. San Jacinto, and Imperial Valley. During the SCC season, the Roadrunners swept both its matches against Long Beach and Victor Valley.
At the South Coast Conference championships, Evelyn Serrato was just a win away from advancing to the CCCAA State Championships in Ojai, but she lost to Barbara Haikal of College of the Desert in the women's singles back draw.
All three RHC doubles teams also had their chances in the back draw to advance, but the teams of Jess Diaz/Bobbie Weaver, Serrato/Bernice Perez, and Mindy Lujan/Astrid Monroy suffered defeats.
