Rio Hondo's Acuna sisters named NSCAA All-Americans

As announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, Janeth Acuna and Maritza Acuna received NSCAA All-America honors following Rio Hondo College's stellar 2015 women's soccer campaign. Janeth a sophomore earned first-team honors, while Maritza, a co-captain, was selected to the second team, marking the second time in Roadrunner head coach Jennifer Tanaka's tenure at Rio Hondo to have players recognized by the NSCAA for the All-America teams.

The Acuna sisters helped Rio Hondo to their best season in history, earning a spot in the CCCAA Final Four and a spot in the State Championship final, and ending the season ranked No. 8 in the nation. It marked the second consecutive year the Roadrunners were ranked in the top-20 nationally.
