Softball: No. 2 Mt. SAC too much for Roadrunners

Rio Hondo College was held to just two hits and suffered a 10-0 South Coast Conference loss at No. 2 state-ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Thursday.

The Roadrunners dropped to 5-21-1 overall and 1-13 in the SCC with the defeat.

Samantha David singled in the top of the first inning and Azucena Enriquez added a base hit in the second for the Roadrunners.

Mt. SAC (21-3, 14-0 SCC) scored a run in the first and added three runs in the second, third, and fourth innings before the game was called in the fifth because of the run rule. Madeline Peralta took the loss after allowing seven earned runs and 1- hits over four innings.

Rio Hondo will look to snap a four-game losing streak on Friday (Mar. 29) when the Roadrunners travel to Los Angeles Mission College for a 2 p.m. non-conference game.
