Rio Hondo College managed just two hits in a 6-0 South Coast Conference North Division loss to visiting Pasadena City College on Tuesday. The defeat dropped the Roadrunners to 5-19-1 overall and 1-12 in SCC play.

Pasadena (15-9, 9-5 SCC) scored two runs in the second, three in the fourth, and a run in the sixth off Rio Hondo starting pitcher Madeline Peralta. But five Roadrunner errors resulted in just one earned run over seven innings on her pitching line. Peralta allowed seven hits and walked two.

Arianna Amezcua and Alyssa Medrano had the lone hits for Rio Hondo while Miranda Fernandez reached base twice via walk.

The Roadrunners will look to snap a two-game losing streak on Thursday (Mar. 28) when they travel to Mt. San Antonio College for a 3 p.m. SCC North Division game.
