The Rio Hondo College men's basketball team hit the road for a short 12-mile trip South to Cerritos College on Friday night but came home with an 87-65 loss to the Falcons. The South Coast Conference interdivision defeat dropped the Roadrunners to 3-15 overall.

But Cerritos pulled away with a 12-4 run to open the second half and used a barrage of three-pointers late in the game to seal its win. The Falcons made 16 of 36 from three-point range, including five from Jeremiah Galang.

Rio Hondo had four players score in double-figures with Darrin Curtis coming off the bench with a team-high 14 points thanks to a perfect 4 for 4 night on three-pointers.
