Men’s Basketball: Slow start hurts Rio Hondo in loss at East Los Angeles

Kenyatta Louder led Rio Hondo College with 26 points and seven rebounds in the Roadrunners' 94-64 loss vs. East Los Angeles College at home on Friday. The South Coast Conference North Division defeat dropped Rio Hondo to 6-17 overall and 3-5 in division play.

The Roadrunners got off to a slow start and trailed 56-27 at halftime. It was a much closer game in the second half but the deficit was too much to overcome.

Anthony Rios added 17 points while Jonathan Martinez chipped in with 12 points.

Just two games remain on the Roadrunners' schedule. Rio Hondo is at Mt. San Antonio College on Wednesday (Feb. 14) and closes at home against Pasadena City College on Friday (Feb. 16). Both games tip off at 7 p.m.
