Athletics: Rio Hondo women’s soccer, volleyball student-athletes sign letters of intent

A total of nine Rio Hondo College student-athletes were honored on Wednesday before signing their National Letters of Intent to continue their collegiate careers. Six members of the Roadrunner women's soccer team as well as a trio of volleyball players were recognized at a ceremony on a beautiful day outside at the Rio Hondo aquatic complex in front of coaches, teammates, and staff as well as family and friends.

Soccer players Karina Banda (Cal State Dominguez Hills), Natalie Magana (Cal State Fullerton), Flor Suarez (Briar Cliff University), Viviana Ramirez (Kansas Wesleyan University), Marissa Morales (Kansas Wesleyan University), and Izella Delgadillo (University of LaVerne) all made their future college homes official.

From volleyball, Felipa Moreno (Mills College), Denyse Perez (Cal Poly Pomona), and Madelyn Gastelum (California State University, Long Beach) were also honored.

Congrats to our amazing student-athletes as well as women's soccer head coach Jennifer Tanaka-Hoshijo, women's volleyball head coach Teddi Esko and their coaching staffs!
