Get ready for another exciting season of Rio Hondo College Athletics, the Roadrunners' 2016 fall sports schedules are now posted online for viewing.

Rio Hondo begins its first season as a full-time member of the highly competitive South Coast Conference. Other member colleges in the SCC include Cerritos, Chaffey, Compton, East Los Angeles, El Camino, Long Beach, LA Harbor, LA Southwest, LA Trade-Tech, Mt. San Antonio, and Pasadena.

Rio Hondo Men's Soccer will kick off the home schedule at the newly renovated soccer complex on August 26 against MiraCosta College at 6 p.m.

The Women's Soccer team will make its home debut on September 7, hosting Orange Coast College at 4 p.m. Last season, the Roadrunners advanced to the State Championship final.

Women's Volleyball is also home for the first time on Sep. 7, as the Roadrunners will take on Antelope Valley College in a 5 p.m. match at the RHC Gym in the first of four straight home contests.

Sep. 7 will be a busy day at Rio Hondo with both the Men's Water Polo and Women's Water Polo teams also playing in their season openers at home. The Roadrunners also kick off conference play against Cerritos with the women playing at 3 p.m. followed by the men at 4:15 p.m.

Wrestling will compete at five events on the road to open the season before hitting the mat at home on October 12 at 7 p.m. in a conference dual meet against Santa Ana College.
