Rio Hondo College men's soccer sophomore Josh Choi was recently named a Scholar All-American by United Soccer Coaches.

Choi, a member of the Roadrunners that past two seasons (2022, 2023), has a carried a perfect 4.0 grade point average while at Rio Hondo. Just four of the 31 student-athletes honored nationally as Junior College Scholar All-Americans earned a 4.0 GPA.  He is majoring in psychology.

On the field, Choi started 12 of 14 games he played in at the midfielder position. He tallied a goal and two points for the Roadrunners this past fall. Rio Hondo finished second in the South Coast Conference South Division and advanced to the third round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs.
