Adan Villareal's second-half goal proved to be the game-winner for the No. 13 state-ranked Rio Hondo College men's soccer team in a narrow 1-0 victory over visiting Los Angeles Mission College on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Arturo Bustamante and Roadrunners' defense posted their fifth shutout in eight games this season. The non-conference win improved the Roadrunners to 6-1-1 overall while Mission dropped to 1-6-2.

Neither team could find the back of the net until Villareal broke free for his unassisted goal in the 77^th minute. Bustamante totaled six saves in an outstanding effort.

The Roadrunners return to action on Friday (Oct. 1) when they close out their non-conference schedule with a 2 p.m. game at Chaffey.
