Freshman Andrew Cruz Diaz' goal in the 42^nd minute proved to be the game-winner for Rio Hondo College as the Roadrunners went on the road to defeat San Bernardino Valley College 1-0 in a non-conference game on Tuesday.

With the victory, Rio Hondo improved to 2-0-1 overall.

SBVC (1-2-1) outshot Rio Hondo by a 13-3 margin, but Roadrunners goalkeeper Arturo Bustamante came up with four saves to preserve the shutout.

Diaz' goal came off a free kick the hit the left post and sailed past Wolverines goalie Brian Orozco just minutes before the halftime whistle.

The Roadrunners will look to keep their unbeaten streak going on Friday (Sep. 10) when they host MiraCosta College in a 10 a.m. non-conference game.
