LONG BEACH – After opening the season last week with a pair of wins, the Rio Hondo College women's beach volleyball team continued the trend with two more victories, this time beating visiting Moorpark College and Riverside City College by identical 4-1 scores on Friday at Rosie's Beach in Long Beach.

The Roadrunners improved to 4-0 overall.

Rio Hondo got two wins on the day from the No. 2 team of Maria Bejines and Maleia Petterez, at No. 3 from Loren Forster and Herlinda Casanova, and from the No. 4 pair of Daniela Sanchez and Josie Navarro.

The Roadrunners are back in action next Friday (Feb. 9) when they are scheduled to take on Santa Ana and Palomar at the Newland Courts in Huntington Beach.
