"I'm very proud of our squad for competing and pulling out another win at home against a solid Cerritos team," said Rio Hondo head coach Teddi Esko. "We had such great energy in the gym with our alumni behind us in the stands cheering us on."

It was Alumni Night at the Rio Hondo gym. Prior to the contest, the Roadrunners recognized and honored its past student-athletes.

"It was an awesome turn out of alumni," Esko said. "Former Lady Roadrunners from my first year in 2003 to last season came to support the 2023 squad. It was an exciting night for my team to showcase in front of the women who paved the way for Rio Volleyball."

The Roadrunners will look to keep the momentum going on Wednesday (Oct. 18) when they travel to No. 17 state-ranked Pasadena City College for a 6 p.m. SCC match.
