Rio Hondo College suffered and 8-1 loss to South Coast Conference leading Cerritos College on Tuesday at home. The defeat dropped the Roadrunners to 5-10 overall and 3-8 in the SCC.

Diana Laureano came away with the Roadrunners's lone victory at No. 3 singles as she defeated Cerritos' Tiffany Sanchez by default with the score at 1-3 in the first set.

Rio Hondo's No. 2 doubles team of Trecia Gonzaga and Roxy Valverde played a good match but came up short in an 8-5 loss to Sanchez and Valentina Polonyi.
