Rio Hondo College faced a tough opponent in Cerritos College and dropped a 9-0 South Coast Conference defeat on Tuesday in Norwalk. The Roadrunners next play a conference match at Long Beach City College on Thursday (Mar. 3) at 2 p.m.

The No. 1 doubles team of Nicole Robbins and Delia Hildago put up the biggest fight for the Roadrunners. They suffered an 8-4 loss to the Cerritos duo of Taylor Heath and Anastasia Khomyachenko.

Trecia Gonzaga scored the most points individually for Rio Hondo as she played Khomyachenko to a 6-1, 6-3 defeat.
