Women’s Soccer: Roadrunners cruise to 5-0 rout at Pasadena

Five different Roadrunners scored as the Rio Hondo College women's soccer team cruised to a 5-0 South Coast Conference North Division win at Pasadena City College on Friday.

The victory improved Rio Hondo to 6-0-3 overall and 3-0-0 in SCC North play.

The Roadrunners controlled the ball on the Pasadena side of the field for the majority of the contest. Rio Hondo outshot PCC by a 30-6 margin.

The relentless pressure resulted in first-half goals by Jacqueline Gonzalez, Hailee Morales, and Karina Banda while Serina Vargas and Viviana Ramirez scored in the second to close out the win.

Danielle Moore (pictured) was credited with a pair of assists with Jacqueline Torres and Victoria Galindo also earning points with one assist each.

Izella Delgadillo (45 minutes, 4 saves) and Dominique Valadez (45 minutes) split time in goal to earn the Rio Hondo's fifth consecutive shutout and seventh overall of the season.

The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday (Oct. 9) when they host Chaffey College in a 4 p.m. SCC North game.
