Roadrunners open season in Bakersfield with three dual wins

BAKERSFIELD – The 2024 Rio Hondo College wrestling got off to a great start on Saturday with the Roadrunners competing at the Bakersfield College Duals tournament.

Head coach Mike Tellez' squad went 3-0 on the day, earning team victories over Lemoore College (32-15), Victor Valley College (25-21), and host Bakersfield (44-4).

The Roadrunners will look to keep the momentum going when they compete next at the Golden Eagle Tournament hosted by Lemoore College on Sep. 28.
