WALNUT - The 2022 Rio Hondo College wrestling season got off to a impressive start as the Roadrunners won all three of their team matches at the Mt. San Antonio College Duals tournament on Saturday.
Rio Hondo opened with a 29-23 win over Sierra College, defeated Palomar College by a final score of 29-24, and advanced to the championship match with 27-26 victory over Mt. SAC's "B" squad.
The Roadrunners, led by head coach Mike Tellez, return to action next Saturday (Sep. 24) when they will compete at the West Hills College Lemoore tournament.
