Sophomore Maggie Lamas led Rio Hondo College with 11 points but a slow start derailed the Roadrunners in a 59-25 loss at Chaffey College on Friday. The South Coast Conference North Division loss dropped the Roadrunners to 4-16 overall and 0-2 in division play. 

The Roadrunners trailed 18-5 after the first quarter and were down 33-11 at halftime.

Lamas alse led Rio Hondo with eight rebounds while freshman Cheyanne Quintana added six points.

Rio Hondo will look to snap its four-game losing streak on Wednesday (Jan. 24) when the Roadrunners travel to play East Los Angeles College in a 5 p.m. SCC North Division game.
