Rio Hondo College sophomore guard Justine Manjarrez (Cantwell-Sacred Heart HS) has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at York College of Nebraska.

Manjarrez joins teammate Julissa Vargas (Optimist HS) as York signees and is the third of seven sophomores from head coach Steve Johnson's 2015-16 squad to sign with four-year programs. Danna Robles (Claremont HS) signed with San Diego Christian College in March.

Manjarrez earned honorable mention All-Foothill Conference honors this past season after averaging 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. She was the Roadrunners' top three-point threat as Manjarrez made 67 shots from beyond the arc. In an 85-16 win over Victor Valley College on Jan. 23, she nailed a school-record 11 three-pointers on her way to a career-high 39 points.

Manjarrez helped guide Rio Hondo to a second-place conference finish and a spot in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Roadrunners compiled a 14-14 overall record and went 7-3 in Foothill Conference play.

York College is located in York, Neb. The Panthers compete at the NAIA level and are a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
