Rio Hondo College women's basketball head coach Steve Johnson has announced that sophomore Danna Robles has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at San Diego Christian College.

"It's very exciting and great for our program," said Johnson on Robles' signing. "My goal as head coach is to help my players matriculate to the next level either athletically or academically and it's great if they can do both like Danna. She will be one of our seven sophomores looking to move on."

Robles, originally out of Claremont High School, was a two-year starter at guard for the Roadrunners and recently wrapped up her final season by leading Rio Hondo to a second-place Foothill Conference finish and a spot in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Roadrunners finished with a 14-14 overall record and went 7-3 in conference play.

Robles averaged a team-high 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game her sophomore season on her way to first-team All-Foothill Conference honors. She was an all-conference honorable mention selection as a freshman.

San Diego Christian competes at the NAIA level and is a member of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC). The Hawks are led by head coach Irvin Jerry.
