Rio Hondo College's Sarah Hauffen-Salgado went 3 for 4 at the plate while Maria Enriquez smacked a two-run home run in the Roadrunners' 10-3 South Coast Conference interdivision loss at Cerritos College on Thursday.

Enriquez' blast in the top of the third inning gave Rio Hondo a 2-0 lead right before the Falcons (7-5) put up two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame to tie up the ball game.

But Cerritos broke the game open in the fifth, scoring six runs off Rio Hondo pitcher Alize Lopez. She took the loss after allowing nine runs (eight earned) and 10 hits over 6+ innings. Lopez struck out two and walked six.

Rio Hondo, now 3-10-1 overall, returns to action on Tuesday (Feb. 20) at 3 p.m. when the Roadrunners open SCC North Division play at Chaffey College.
