Sophomore Edwin Elizarraraz posted seven saves to help lead Rio Hondo College to a scoreless draw against Oxnard College on Sunday to close out the Mt. SAC Adidas/Azteca Soccer Tournament. It was the Roadrunners' second straight shutout as they improved to 1-1-2 overall this season.

Elizarraraz did all he could to keep Rio Hondo in the contest but it was the offense that couldn't get much going against a just as strong Oxnard defense. The Roadrunners totaled four shots on goal that were all stopped by Condors goalkeeper Matthew Escareno.

Rio Hondo returns to action on Wednesday (Sep. 7) at 6 p.m. against Orange Coast College when the Roadrunners begin the first of three straight home games.
