Men's Soccer: Roadrunners fall 4-0 to visiting LA Mission

The Rio Hondo College men's soccer team is still in search of its first win after suffering a 4-0 non-conference defeat to visiting Los Angeles Mission College on Tuesday.

LA Mission led 2-0 at halftime after the Eagles broke free for goals in the 30th and 38th minutes. They added goals in the 73rd and 82nd to close out the contest.

Sophomore goalkeeper Edwin Elizarraraz did his best to keep Rio Hondo in the game. He posted four saves after facing eight shots.

Rio Hondo, now 0-1-1 overall, returns to action on Friday (Sep. 2) when the Roadrunners take on West Valley College at the Mt. SAC Adidas/Azteca Soccer Tournament. Rio Hondo is also scheduled to play Oxnard College on Sunday (Sep. 4).
