WALNUT – The Rio Hondo College women's beach volleyball team earned a split of its two South Coast Conference matches at Mt. San Antonio College on Wednesday.

The Roadrunners opened the day with a narrow 3-2 loss to host Mt. SAC but bounced back with a 4-1 victory over Cerritos College.

Rio Hondo's No. 1 pairs team of Jaida Zuniga and Jade Fuentes as well as the No. 4 duo of Loren Forster and Carly Kejmar won both their matches to lead the Roadrunners. Both were able to overcome opening-set losses against Mt. SAC to rally back for the win. (Complete results below)

The Roadrunners moved to 12-6 overall and 3-4 in South Coast Conference play. They are back in action next Friday (Apr. 5) to host Long Beach City College in a 10 a.m. SCC match at Rosie's Dog Beach.
